Email AccountsIt’s In The MailHow many times have you heard that? You order something from a magazine, you wait, you call the company, and their response – “Don’t worry, It’s in the Mail”. Or you wait for days for that birthday card from Grandma and Grandpa. Well, wait no more. Now, there is an instant way to send letters to your loved ones. Of course, this will not solve the problem of waiting for products to be delivered. But, for those who want to be able to contact family and friends from anywhere in the world, there is Email – and there are plenty of free email accounts available. Email accounts are easy to set up and easy to use – even children have email accounts that allow them to stay in contact with their family members and have pen pals all over the world. Setting Up Your Email Account It is very easy to set up an email account. You usually are provided with a free email account from your ISP – many people use this as the family email account and set up private email accounts for their own private use. Comcast offers their subscribers seven email accounts – so, if you have a Comcast email account, there is no need for you to look anywhere else for a private email account. If you have a Verizon email account, you can access your email from any Internet connected PC or from your Internet capable cell phone. You also have a choice of setting up an email account with many of the email service providers on the Internet. Yahoo is one of the most popular providers of email accounts. MSN provides free hotmail email accounts with search capabilities. Setting up an email account is as simple as finding an email provider and filling out an online form. Once you have filled out the form, the email provider will send you an email to your main email account (usually the one provided by your ISP) and once you click on the confirmation link, your email account is ready for use. Of course, most free email services limit the amount of space that you have available on their servers in order to accommodate the millions of people who have email accounts with them. But, there is one that allows you so much storage space that it seems almost unlimited. Google email accounts allow you to email or chat without having to change programs. While Gmail – the name for Google email – is free, there is one thing that sets Gmail apart (other the amount of storage space allowed) – and that is that you cannot just do a search for Google email and sign up for an account. You have to be invited to join by someone who already has an email account. I use Gmail as my business email – and I have never had an email bounce because of lack of storage space. I also use Yahoo as my personal email account and I have never had any problems with their service. So, whether you just want to stay in touch with your grandkids or whether you want to stay in touch with your business associates and customers, there is an email option available for you.
